DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
A lot of people (mostly of the male sex) are going to hate me for saying this but New Year’s Eve does actually work as a film. The creators might have missed the mark on how to make an ensemble film with Valentine’s Day but here they are spot on, even though the film is sickly sweet and may not have the depth that so many people crave these days......

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL
DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
TOM CRUISE IS BACK!!! Forget the fact that he jumped on Oprah’s couch, in fact forget anything that you may think makes Tom Cruise a little loopy because Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol reminds everyone that Cruise is a great actor and still after all these years can pull off a damn fine action movie… in fact this is the action movie of the year....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
ANOTHER EARTH!!! No you probably haven’t heard of it, after all it is being released in Australia with little or no fuss as it doesn’t feature an A List cast and was directed by a household name. But this is the little film that could! The way this film intertwines sci-fi and drama is a stroke of genius and with an ending that leaves you asking a world of questions, it’s a film I can’t wait to see again....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
Just when you say ‘they aren’t making any original movies anymore’ along comes a film that makes you eat your words. Sure alien invasion movies have been done before but Attack The Block is so original that it will truly shock you… not in the frightening sense but in the sense that somewhere out there a screenwriter actually had an original idea instead of simply just remaking something done years earlier.....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
We Bought A Zoo is a ‘nice’ film that simply grows on you as it continues on it’s merry way. Some will be quick to label it as a ‘simple family film’ yet it is a lot more than that. Yes, it’s friendly enough to be lapped up by a family but the film also has enough drama and suspense in it to keep even the hardened film goer happy.......

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
The French have done it again! Once again they have been able to release a quirky comedy that you can’t help laughing at. Filled with interesting characters, great one liners and some wonderfully comedic situations The Women On The 6th Floor truly deserves the title – one of the funniest comedies of the year!....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
I’ve been a fan of Tintin ever since I was little kid, so much so that the TV show is in my DVD collection and all the Graphic Novels have a home on my book shelf. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I was eagerly awaiting The Adventures Of Tintin, and while I was blown away by the animation I can’t help but feel that the film dragged a little......

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
How do you follow up one of the best animated films of all time? That was certainly the problem facing legendary director, George Miller (Happy Feet, Babe: Pig In The City) when he (and his company) sat down to tackle Happy Feet Two. And while there are plenty of reasons why it isn’t as good as its older brother this is still a film that can be enjoyed by the whole family....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
Back in 2008 director, Jon Hewitt (Acolytes, Darklovestory) blew me away with his film Acolytes, I film I still believe one of the finest films ever made in Australia. Now he has blown me away again with a film that is low-budget filmmaking at its very best. X may not be a film that everyone can stomach but if you love gritty thrillers that are brilliantly written then this is the film for you........

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
When you settle in to watch a Steven Spielberg film you know that your either going to get something good or something great… the master never finds himself producing up rubbish. Once again he had managed to weave his magic with War Horse a film that despite some faults wins you over with a story that is just the right amount of drama and sweetness.....

DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
Sometimes you see a docco that you just know is going to stick with you for a long, long time. The Tall Man is one such docco. For any Australian that believes that Aboriginals get equal treatment to white people this is the docco that will put the truth into perspective… it’s certainly one that you will be talking about for ages after the final credits close....

ROSS NOBLE'S AUSTRALIAN TRIP SEASON 1
DAVE GRIFFITHS'S REVIEW:
In was always going to be hard to beat 'Billy Connolly's Tour Of Australia' and many a cynic would have suggested that UK comedian Ross Noble jumping on a motorbike and driving around Australia while in the middle of a comedy tour reeked of a direct copy of it... but luckily enough for Noble he pulls them off fantastically well and makes you forget that it has all been done before......
