Dave’s Review:

Wow what a stunning soundtrack and it actually does justice to what turned out to be one of the best films of 2010. Normally if an actor or actress attempts to cover a hit song on a soundtrack you steer clear, but here the covers are so good that you can’t tell them apart from the originals.

This soundtrack is chockers with great tracks, tracks so good that would teach modern artists a thing or two about how to rock. Tracks like ‘Roxy Roller’ by Nick Gilder and ‘The Wild One’ by Suzi Quatro just seem to get better each time you hear them, while ‘Rebel Rebel’ by David Bowie is just one of those all-time classics.

The big surprise though is that Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart’s versions of ‘Cherry Bomb’, ‘California Paradise’, ‘Queens Of Noise’ and ‘Dead End Justice’ are just as good as The Runaways’ originals like ‘Hollywood’, ‘You Drive Me Wild’ and ‘I Wanna Be Where The Boys Are’.

One of the better soundtracks to surface in the last couple of years, an amazing amount of talent and an album I guarantee you will listen to over and over.

RATING:- ***** (out of 5)
