Greg's Review:

Having waded through issue # 1, I decided to persist with issue # 2, because I was intrigued enough to care. This says something positive, I suppose, about issue # 1 considering the negativity I brought down on it in its review, and the fact that I actually have to fork out good money for my own comics.

We discover the one The Children of the Radiant Night are targeting is the fair-haired Angelique – for some heinous sacrifice, no doubt.

The story is getting better in some respects, but the logic, at times, leaves a bit to be desired. Still, there wouldn’t be a story if the five remaining got picked off as logically as it would appear.

The art, as with issue # 1, is a bit confusing at times, but with the ability to recognise the now split-up protagonists, it is getting slightly easier to understand.

One might have to question the choice of painted art when the cast of the story is so large. Painted art tends to take longer and as a consequence time constraints get imposed. As a result some elements got simplified, with the ultimate loss of exposition.

In all, the story is getting better and I am determined, now, to stick it out to the end. There is also some hope being built into the storyline, hope that makes the read potentially worthwhile.

And, if you don’t want to buy the comics, there’s always the inevitable trade paperback to get, at a cost less than the overall cost of the five comics. A decision only you can make, reader.
