DAVID GRIFFITHS is an award winning writer/director and producer. Over the years he has been responsible for many short films that explore modern society in the realm of filmmakers such as Larry Clarke and Danny Boyle. He has diplomas in ‘Mass Media Communication’ and ‘Professional Writing & Editing’.

His theatre production ‘When Irish Boys Are Dying’ was a controversial piece of theatre that was shown to sell-out crowds when picked up by Melbourne’s ‘La Mama’ theatre company.

David was the creator/producer of one of Channel 31’s highest rating programs, ‘X-Wired’. At this time David also rose to the position of Pre-Production Manager at Southern Television Inc. While in this position he created many other television shows, all of which made it to air. David passed on the skills he learnt in this position by training and teaching groups of Work For The Dole Participants for the TryYouth organization. Many of his students went on to fulltime employment in the industry.

David has also proven himself as one of Melbourne’s top television journalists with exclusive interviews with celebrities such as Jack Thompson, John Butler and John Brumpton

Aside from his skills as a writer David has also excelled as a Music Clip/Live Performance Director, working with top Aussie acts such as Kisschasy, John Butler Trio and Dardanelles, he has even worked with International Artists such as The Dresden Dolls.

David currently works as a music/film journalist with Buzz Magazine, a role that has seen him interview artists such as Clare Bowditch, DevilDriver and Helloween. He was recently elevated to the role of Senior Film/DVD Reviewer for this magazine. He also works as a film/music columnist for Media Search as well as for The Banner (a position he has held for more than 15 years).

        David is also working on a number of feature films and television dramas which are currently in pre-production.
